At Werner’s, steaks are cut thick. There are two reasons for cutting steaks thick. First, those who like steaks like them thick, and second, thick cuts won't dry out during cooking. All of our steaks are seared at 1800 degrees to lock in the beef flavor.
Rare — Nicely seared on the outside, red, cool on the inside. Soft to the touch.
Medium Rare — Red, warm center. Has a springy firmness to the touch.
Medium — Pink, hot center. More firm to the touch than medium rare.
Medium Well — Cooked throughout. Firm to the touch. A slight hint of pink at the center.
Well —
NO pink left at
center. Very firm to the touch.
